Iowa’s First-of-its-kind Teen Tech Center, Located at Mainframe Studios

Welcome to Oak Studio Teen Tech Center located at Mainframe Studios, open to ALL metro-area teens ages 13-21! Drop in any time. It is free to use the equipment and resources. Adult mentors are available to assist if you need.

A member of The Clubhouse Network, Oak Studio is loaded with cutting-edge technologies – including tools to help youth explore music and vocal production, audio engineering, digital media, robotics, drones, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing, graphic design, sewing, engraving and more! Within the space, teens are able to participate in collaborative and individual projects, training and workshops.

Career Pathways Expands Opportunity

Each year a group of youth are selected for the competitive nine-month Career Pathways Program. The cohort provides the opportunity for participants ages 16-19 to receive specialized coaching and workshops, be placed in a challenging internship, and earn money while developing essential skills to use in their professional lives.

With personalized coaching and mentorship, youth are exposed to a comprehensive curriculum that pairs interest and industry-relevant training with soft skills. Participants master workforce readiness best practices, including writing resumes, interview techniques, business communication, and financial literacy. We partner with local organizations to provide paid 6-10 week internships during the cohort to ensure these skills are being put to work without barriers.

Hours:

• M-W: 1 PM – 6 PM
• TH: 1 PM – 5 PM
• F: 1 PM – 6 PM (Ages 15+)
• Closed Weekends
